I eventually got off my ass and recovered the previous blog’s posts using the Wordpress export/import mechanism. It seems to be ok after a brief eyes-over, the only issue so far being the (all too usual) UTF/ISO character encoding screw-ups, which I’ll correct manually over time. I’ve not yet re-enabled my plug-ins or theme as they were heavily customised for a previous version of Wordpress and I can’t be arsed to rework them right now. Only Outreach will be missed, I reckon.

There’s not been that much going on to blog about. I’ve been learning the beautiful programming language Haskell but I’ve not really done much with it as I’m going through an inspirational downturn. I’m still working for an ISP in Sheffield. My Rock Band skills have peaked at expert guitar and hard drums.

It’s the end of my third week doing “It’s a Diet Thing”, photos here. Slightly higher alcohol consumption this week but I defend that on the basis that I attended a beer festival on Saturday! Check out the shit I eat at work, though. BMI is stable at around 23.5.

Continuing to photograph all (or virtually all) my calorific intake. Week 2 has been much better with both alcohol and sugar consumption reduced. Wii Fit says my BMI is ideal at 23.5.

It’s a pain trying to buy the most popular game in the world. It took an age to find but we finally have it – Wii Fit.

We bought it to help out with the “diet thing”. Having spent a few hours with it now, I can say that it’s very interesting and definitely more a workout tool than it is a game. Computer-aided exercise – what will they think of next?

Nintendo at their best. Highly recommended, if you can get one, that is :)

What a simple idea – photograph one’s calorific intake. Here’s my first week. Slightly embarrassing. I’ve already taken steps to reduce my alcohol consumption.

Nothing of interest happened to me except for getting wet. Others around me were somewhat less or more fortunate, depending on your viewpoint. Read about some of them on the Plus.net Community Site.

During working hours, of course! I’m first left on the second desk, in front of the guy with the cool dreads. I’ve moved, see the comments!

We demonstrated theDiveBuzz.com, met some interesting people, drank beer and generally had a jolly good time. It’s nice to be a geek, sometimes.

“No love, they only blow hot air.”

Yay! Snow in Sheffield again. Piccies just as soon as my camera batteries charge. Oh dear, my camera has failed doesn’t seem to like the cold! Anyways, a couple of pics from out front and back.

What better way to celebrate the annual atheist festival of Bah’umbug than with good friends, good food, good drink and no presents?
